App Hifz · Last updated: October 16, 2026
Hifz does not ask you for any personal data. There is no account, no sign-up, no advertising and no analytics. Your progress stays on your phone. Only the Hifz Pro subscription, if you take it, goes through Apple and our purchase-management tool, RevenueCat, under an anonymous identifier.
The app stores only on your device:
This information never leaves your phone. Everything is deleted if you uninstall the app. “Reset my progress” in the settings erases your progress; your first name and settings are kept.
The app connects to the internet to play or download the audio recitation, served by islamic.network: the request only contains the verse number and the reciter’s name, nothing about you. It also contacts RevenueCat for the subscription (see below). The Quran text, the translations and the transliteration are included in the app and work offline.
Payment is handled entirely by Apple: we never see your name, email address or payment details. To know whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous identifier generated by the app, your purchase history (plan, dates, renewal, store country) and your device model. This information is only used to unlock the subscription and to track our sales. It is never sold or used for advertising. If you buy nothing, the app still contacts RevenueCat to display prices, under the same anonymous identifier.
If you tap “Share” after learning a surah, the app creates an image on your phone and opens the iOS share sheet: you choose where to send it, or whether to save it to your photos. The app sends nothing by itself. iOS may sometimes offer you to rate the app: that prompt is handled by Apple, and we only receive the public rating, if any.
If you turn on the daily reminder, the notifications are scheduled locally by your phone at the time you chose. No server is involved, and you can turn them off at any time.
The app is suitable for all ages. It asks for no personal data, from children or adults; any purchase goes through the Apple account, and therefore through Apple’s parental controls.
